ISAVEVIDEO EXTENSION
Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how iSaveVideo handles information when you install or use the browser extension. iSaveVideo is a companion to iSaveTik and is designed to help you find, preview, and save media available on webpages you browse.
Effective date: September 11, 2026
1. Information the extension handles
To provide media discovery and downloading, the extension can access webpage resources, media URLs, page titles, resource response information, and information associated with the browser tab where the resource was found. The extension may also read data that the webpage itself makes available to the browser, such as session storage, local storage, cookies, or request tokens, when a supported site requires that information to identify or retrieve its media. This access is used for the extension's media workflow and is not used to create a user profile.
2. Information stored on your device
The extension stores settings such as language and interface preferences, temporary detected-media caches, and download records in browser storage. It also stores a randomly generated installation identifier and a randomly generated session identifier for anonymous usage measurement. These identifiers are not your name, email address, or account identifier.
3. Online parsing and service requests
Some websites require online parsing. When you use one of those features, the relevant
webpage or post URL and the technical request context needed for parsing may be sent to
the configured service, currently
https://global-api.xiaoxiaobite.com/. The service returns media-source
information used to show results or complete a download. The extension does not require
you to create an extension account.
Requests to the original website may use that website's existing browser session. The extension does not use its access to bypass private, deleted, login-only, or otherwise restricted content.
4. Anonymous usage analytics
The extension sends limited technical events to
https://plugin.isavevideo.com/ through the iSaveVideo analytics service.
These events may include the action type, timestamp, extension version, browser
information, time-zone offset, interface language, the source website hostname, and the
random installation and session identifiers described above.
Analytics events are designed not to include search text, media titles, or complete webpage URLs. Complete URLs may still be sent to the online parsing service when they are required to process a request. Analytics are not required for the extension's core media discovery and download functions; a failed analytics request does not block an action.
5. Why the extension requests permissions
- Website access and scripting: detect media and show download controls on webpages.
- Web requests and navigation: identify media resources and follow page changes.
- Tabs: associate media with the tab where it was found and manage download helpers.
- Downloads: save files selected by you and report download status.
- Side panel: display the media list and controls beside the webpage.
- Storage: remember settings, temporary results, download records, and anonymous measurement identifiers.
6. Sharing and retention
The extension does not sell your information. Information is sent only to the original website or the service endpoints needed for the feature you use, including online parsing and anonymous analytics. Local settings, caches, and records remain in browser storage until you remove them, clear the extension's data, or uninstall the extension.
Service-side retention, logging, and processing can vary by the endpoint and its infrastructure. For questions about a specific request or to ask about information associated with the service, contact us using the address below.
7. Your choices
You can remove locally stored extension data through your browser's extension settings, uninstall the extension, or restrict the extension's site access in the browser. Those changes may prevent media detection or downloading on affected webpages. You can also avoid features that require online parsing. The extension has no account registration or advertising profile.
8. Children's privacy
iSaveVideo is not directed to children under the age at which parental consent is required under applicable law. We do not knowingly collect a child's name, email address, or account information through the extension.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the extension, its services, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
